Tepache Mojito Mocktail
We're starting the new year off with a delicious mocktail featuring De La Calle Tepache! Tepache is a non-alcoholic fermented drink made with pineapple, pineapple rinds, and a variety of spices. Tepache is the base of this mojito mocktail, with additions of lime, mint, and honey simple syrup. We used the Mango Chili variety of tepache, but we also carry the Traditional and Watermelon Jalapeno flavors!
- Start by making the honey simple syrup. In a small pot over high heat, add the water and honey. Cook just until the honey dissolves into the water, stirring frequently. Remove from heat and let cool.
- In a large glass, muddle 10 mint leaves and 2 tablespoons of fresh lime juice.
- Add 2 tablespoons of the honey simple syrup.
- Fill the glass with ice, then add the tepache. Garnish with mint springs and enjoy!
