Quick & Easy Chocolate Mousse

You will not believe how easy this chocolate mousse is! With only 4 ingredients and 5 minutes of active cooking time, you can whip up this dessert with ease. Plus, it's seriously delicious. This recipe features local heavy cream from Kilgus Creamery, fair trade cocoa powder from Equal Exchange, and powdered sugar from one of our most popular brands, Field Day.

Heavy cream
1 1/2 cups
Cocoa powder
1/4 cup
Powdered sugar
1/2 cup
Vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon
  1. In a chilled mixing bowl, begin whipping cream with a whisk. Whip until frothy and slightly thickened. If you forgot to chill your bowl, fill it with very cold water, then drain.
  2. Sift together sugar and cocoa powder.
  3. Add powdered sugar and cocoa powder to heavy cream. Carefully mix until soft peaks form.
  4. Add vanilla extract, and whip until stiff peaks form. Be careful not to overmix - this will turn your mousse into butter!
  5. Spoon into serving dishes, and serve with additional toppings if desired (chocolate shavings, strawberries, etc.)
