Co+op Basics: Pasta with Chickpeas in Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
Field Day olive oil
1 tablespoon
Field Day paprika
1 teaspoon
Onion, diced

Garlic cloves, minced

1 can
Field Day spicy arrabiata pasta sauce
1 jar
Field Day fusilli
8 ounces
Salt and pepper
To taste
Kale, chopped
1 bunch

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Meanwhile, heat olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the onion and cook until soft, 5-7 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for an additional minute or two. 
  3. Add chickpeas and saute for just a few minutes until they begin to crisp up a bit. Add paprika, salt and pepper and stir to combine.
  4. Add kale and saute until leaves are wilted and cooked.
  5. Add the spicy arrabbiata pasta sauce and the fusilli to the pan. Stir to combine, and cook for an additional minute or two until everything is heated throughout.
  6. Season with additional paprika, salt and pepper.
