Explore the moods & textures of Maytime in this Spring Still Life Art Class, led by local artist Vivian Krishnan. Participants will learn the fundamentals of drawing from observation, watercolor painting, and mixed media techniques by studying a still life vignette featuring the season’s harvest.
This course is open to all skill levels! We will begin with ink and incorporate more mediums along the way.
*Students should wear clothes that can get a little messy and are encouraged to bring any art supplies they've been meaning to try out.

About Instructor: Vivian Krishnan
Vivian Krishnan is a mixed media artist with works that cross the vast stage of storytelling, from designing costumes for theatrical characters to writing and illustrating diverse children’s stories. She received her bachelors in Durango, Colorado, focusing on Printmaking and Sculpture as well as earning her MFA at UIUC in Theatrical Design. Vivian has taught many art workshops throughout the CU area. She is a life-long learner of many mediums, drawn to rich textures and colors. Her work includes scrawling linework in ink, vibrant watercolors, and experimental application.
