Cheesy Baked Pasta

Turn a weeknight dinner into a guaranteed crowd-pleaser with this cheesy baked penne! Loaded with Montebello pasta, local ground beef, a sautéed blend of carrots, peppers, onions, and garlic that's smothered in rich Pomi tomato sauce and finished with a bubbly mozzarella-parmesan crown. Montebello penne pasta
16 ounces
Triple S Farms ground beef
1 pound
Green pepper, chopped
1 large pepper
Onion, chopped
1 medium onion
Garlic, minced
3 cloves
Carrots, chopped

Pomi tomato sauce
4-5 cups
Mozzarella, shredded
2 cups
Parmesan, grated
1/2 cup
Salt
to taste
Pepper
to taste

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the penne noodles according to the package instructions, afterwards, strain and set aside.

  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet on medium heat. Once cooked thoroughly, transfer to a plate and cover to keep warm.

  3. Add peppers, carrots, and onions to the same skillet and cook over medium-high heat for 3-5 minutes or until the edges of the onions begin to brown. Add garlic and cook for an additional minute before removing from heat. 

  4. Combine the cooked sausage and veggies, penne pasta, and tomato sauce in a large baking dish sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Season the dish with salt and pepper to taste. Cover with mozzarella and parmesan cheese. 

  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until cheese is melted and brown. 

  6. Remove from oven, serve & enjoy!
