Featured Art Installation: Carolyn Padget

Stop by the Flatlander Classroom & Art Gallery to see the newest local art installation featuring C.M Padget. Her work will be on display in the Art Gallery from October through November.

About the Installation

I work in acrylic and/or watercolour, pencil, and ink. Most of my works are 6 x 4" - 8 x 6". So a smaller venue is the perfect place to showcase my art. Currently most pieces are of people in the local community, or pets. In the upcoming next few months I plan to start on a series of pieces of the Chicago beaches.

Artist Statement

I consider myself a self-taught artist, despite the fact that when young I had taken several art classes. My favourite thing to do is gesture drawings of people while I am out at local events.

I have had my work on display at Urbana Acupuncture during the 2024 Boneyard Festival. I also recently have had one of my sketch chosen is as a prototype for a logo for Feathers & Fangs, a non-profit animal sanctuary in Atmore, Alabama.
