Learn how to make a traditional Southern meal highlighting local and seasonal ingredients with trained chef and local farmer, Ann Swanson of Hendrick House. Ann will share recipes inspired by her time spent cooking in high-end restaurants in Charleston, SC. The menu includes:

  • Southern Potlikker Stew with brothy stewed greens, local turnips, onion, and garlic
  • Pan-seared Local Pork Chops with thyme, butter, and hot sauce cream
  • Braised Local Wheatberries with roasted local butternut squash

Register below and preorder your meal kit to pick up on Friday, December 9th from 4-6pm in the Common Ground Flatlander Classroom. The $40 meal kit serves 2-3 people and a vegan option is available. Tune in for the virtual Zoom live cooking class on Saturday, December 10th from 3-5pm and cook the dishes in your kitchen using the preportioned ingredients from your kit.
