Ethiopian Cooking Class & Meal Kit

March 13, 2022
4:00pm

Learn about Ethiopian culture and the intimacy of cooking this cuisine in our next class with Tesfaye Wolde-Medhin. Tesfaye will share stories of his connection to his home country and will guide participants through connecting with their senses. Born in Ethiopia and a scholar of anthropology, Tesfaye will also discuss the cultural, topographical, and historical elements that shaped and influenced contemporary Ethiopian cuisine. Participants are strongly encouraged to attend zoom live class since the class will not be recorded and written recipes are traditionally not used.

The menu will include:

  • Qay Meser Wat: a spicy red lentil stew with tomatoes, onions, berbere, and other flavorful spices
  • Goman/Ethiopian Greens: made with turmeric, ginger, onion, lacinato kale, and collard greens
  • Organic Brown Rice

This $30 Meal Kit serves 2-3 people and includes all the ingredients you need to make the dishes. The meal kit is vegan and gluten free.
