Pav Bhaji Pop-up

Pav Bhaji Pop-up

Saturday, April 15th 11am - 1pm

SOLD OUT

Come down to the Flatlander Classroom for a special pop-up meal with longtime Co-op instructor Sirisha Bhandaru! Sirisha will be making Pav Bhaji, or what she calls a "vegetarian sloppy joe", one of the most popular street foods of Mumbai, India. It's a tangy, spicy vegetable mash that is served with soft bread rolls (pav) that are toasted in butter. It is garnished with finely chopped onions to add a fresh juicy crunch and a lime wedge for those who like it extra tangy. The buttery pav used to sop up all the vegetable goodness is the perfect complement to the spicy bhaji. It helps tone it down just enough to make you go for the second bite, the third bite, until you devour your pav and are craving more. That's the beauty of pav bhaji!

Preorder your Pav Bhaji and come eat it in the classroom (or take it to go!) on Saturday, April 15th anytime between 11am - 1pm.

Cost is $15 and includes:

  • Bhaji: vegetable mash with potatoes, onion, tomatoes, carrots, green pepper, green peas, garlic, ginger & spices
  • 3 Pav (rolls)
  • Cilantro
  • Onion
  • Lime
