This class is part of Common Ground’s Food For All Program. Learn hands on cooking techniques, tips, and time-savers to feed your family for less! Participants be cooking one of our Food For All Recipes and will receive recipes for over a dozen meals that you can cook for just $1.25-$2.00 per serving!
These classes fill up months in advance and many people would love the opportunity to take these great classes. Attendees get to experience the preparation of great food, tasting the recipe, access to more than a dozen recipes, and a booklet full of great tips and information.

teacher: Monee’s love of cooking goes back before working in soup kitchens as a teen, she knew she wanted to cook when she was 5. By age 14, she knew she was meant to be a professional chef. After working in various high end food service venues and studying cuisine in Chicago, her hometown, Monee graduated Kendall College with a culinary degree and started venturing out into the real chef world. Today, she is a head chef in Champaign but still dedicates a good amount of time educating at the Coop and at private events. Overall, she wants "students" to leave feeling full of not only delicious food but also the knowledge they can use while purchasing food as well as cooking.
