Explore classic French desserts with Kaya Tate of Hopscotch Cakes & Confections with a demonstration of simple methods to decorate with piping and other buttercream techniques. Included is a set of cupcakes to practice decorating and take home!

teacher bio: Kaya Tate is the owner and pastry chef of the local Hopscotch: Cakes & Confections. Classically trained in Patisserie and Baking from Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute in Portland, Oregon. She has baked in everything from a James Beard Nominated Bakery in Boston, MA to a small family owned chocolate shop in England. Her passion lies with delicate desserts made simple by tips and techniques learned in her culinary travels.
