2019 Election Results

This year, we had three full 3-year terms up for election. Our new Board members are:

Colin Dodson 2019-2022

JP Goguen 2019-2022

Evelyne Tardy 2019-2022

Due to several mid-term resignations due to personal reasons this past year, the Board will also be appointing several board directors for one-year terms at its October meeting. Owners wishing to be considered for appointment may apply through Friday, October 4. You can read more information here!

The bylaws amendment to add a sentence to the paragraph on eligibility passed.  The sentence “Other than the General Manager of the Co-op, employees of the Co-op who meet the qualifications are eligible for election as long as no more than 2 employees serve on the Board of Directors at any given time..” was added to Section IV.1 of the Bylaws of Common Ground Food Co-op.

The vote totals on the bylaws amendment were:

Yes - 309

No -  17

Abstain -  75

We would like to thank all owners who took the time to vote in the election. We also would like to thank all Board candidates for the time, energy and thought they put into the election process.

We had 85 organizations suggested as Round Up for Good candidate organizations. The top 11 organizations were selected by our owners to receive donations for one month each of 2019 (the 12th month benefits the Co-op’s Food For All program).
