Common Ground Board Policies

The Common Ground Board operates according to the policy governance model as defined by John Carver's book Boards that make a difference, and as described on this web page.
The four quadrants of policies are as follows, and each includes a link to current Commmon Ground policies in that quadrant:
- Ends Policies - These are very general policies that set direction for management. They represent the "goals" the co-op hopes to achieve.
- Executive Limitations Policies - These represent the constraints under which management must operate to achieve the ends.
- Board Management Delegation Policies - These policies define the process by which authority is delegated from the board to management, and how management is held accountable for its decisions.
- Board Governance Policies - These policies define the board's role, how it achieves its goals, and how it holds itself accountable.
